We bring the meter to check firewood or timber before you buy, burn or store it. M&M takes readings from suitable freshly split faces and compares several pieces, rather than relying on the outside of one log. The meter stays with us; this is not take-home equipment hire.

A moisture reading is one useful check, not a guarantee of timber species, total load weight or overall quality. Results vary with the selected wood group and where the pins enter the timber.
